Where the Wild Things Are Party

Arlo chose a
Where the Wild Things Are
theme for his party
I booked a very cute little building in a small local park
with enough indoor space incase it rained
but it was a perfectly sunny day

I decorated with
 a Poster
a little bunting made with pictures from the book found here
some tissue pompoms
and a couple of puppets found online locally

I've seen lots of blogged parties with the wee bottles and straws
but the children really did love the idea of their own little drink
chocolate milk or green lemonade
infact a few even wanted to take them home
the bottles were from here
(only $20 for 32 and we can use them for future parties)

Arlo's Aunties also spoilt us with homebaking
and other treats for the small people

it was especially nice
Aunty Pippy
was over from Melbourne this weekend

our wee friend Emma
outside there was a lovely shady tree for people to sit under

and a small playground as well

lovely cousins

a wee game of pass the parcel

with a little Moshie toy as the prize
waiting for his cake

there was a small issue of candles staying alight

so we adjourned inside

the cake was a 'wild things' variation of the popular rainbow cake
a little more running around
playing with new toys
and a lolly scramble

popmak
and the
 Grans
and some party bags to take home

I made some wee cloth bags from thrifted material
and some remnamts from Nanarie
and appliqued some felt characters

inside were some coloured pencils,
a wee handmade colouring book and some sweets
the babies got a wee hat each
these last 3 pictures by my lovely sister

Happy 4th Birthday
to our own little
Wild Thing
and thanks to everyone who made his day so special
