He is Here

the beautiful boy is here at 1954 on the 21st or summer solstice. He weighed 7lb, 10oz. So far he is very mellow and a great feeder. He has big dark eyes and lots of dark hair.
Will post a birth story and some more pics soon. He gets his name on sunday when his mama returns, she is on her way now. Harriet is being a great big sister and Isabella is a wonderful help.

induction date

well looks like this boy of mine wants to be a saggi instead of a capricorn. My blood pressure was up from it's usual 100/60 to 142/92 this morning and the tests confirmed early pre eclampsia so I am on the induction list for wed lunchtime if I don't get bumped by someone sicker. Bloods still look okay so my midwife and OB are happy to wait till than. It is his actual due date but of course 4 days earlier than ang so we are both not so thrilled about that. Isabella and I will run some last xmas errands tomorrow, Harriet is still in school tomorrow and wed than we should be all set. Next post should be some birth and baby boy details

today was harriet's final dance lesson for the year.before going I had a programme on about bollywood, harriet saw the dancers and decided she wanted to wear one of her indian costumes instead of her leotard or fairy dress, so amongst all the little pink and purple fairies was one bright orange bollywood fairy today. she looked fabulous and was very happy her gran could come and watch too.

Busy Tuesday

some pics below from today. This morning was Harriet's xmas party at school with a performance by Pirate Bonnie, Sol came along with me as he is very into pirates at the moment. Harriet also dressed for the occasion. She was really pleased to have Sol at her school and be able to show him around. She held his hand and took him everywhere and made sure he was okay during the show and at lunchtime after. Than it was off to Isabella's school picnic at the beach for the rest of the afternoon. We than went to pick a xmas tree. Next it was back to school to pick up Harriet than to the mall to let the girls pick their xmas decorations. Each year since Isabella was a baby we have added one decoration to our collection. This year as well as choosing one each the girls wanted to get one for baby brother so he now has a very chubby little gingerbread decoration...am hoping this isn't what he looks like when he comes out. Sila nicely came and carried the tree upstairs for me than we decorated it after bath time. I also discovered Ang and I must have done some new year sale shopping last year which I forgot about because I found two new boxes of outside fairy lights and a light up window xmas tree. The outside now looks very festive and I'm sure there are enough things twinkling on the outside of the house to show both santa and ang the way here on xmas eve. All this was done in what seems to be a wave of heat and humidity we are experiencing at the moment, it is just too hot for everyone but especially too hot to be largely pregnant. The other night Harriet was so wiped out she fell asleep on her bed between dinner and pudding.
