Saturday Wanderings

it was a lovely sunny afternoon

so we set off walking with the boys

and found some signs

 to a photography exhibition

 before catching a bus down to the waterfront

 some hula hooping

 checking out the luxury boats

 and heading to Wynyard Quarter

 checking out all the performers

 and ending up at the playground

 and checking out the new playground

 we warmed up with some hot chips

 before a walk home

with Arlo getting a little ride in the wrap

Winter arrived today
so the small fox and I bundled up

stopped for coffee

and headed down to the art gallery

playing in the light room

watching the amazing  Lisa Reihana, in Pursuit of Venus [infected]

a stroll round the verandah

and back through the galleries

a little reading nook

and more exploring
he wanders through saying
'wow oh wow'

then it was back to school pick up

and a dash home before another rain shower
in case you are wondering if I sent poor Arlo
 to school in shorts on the coldest day so far
I didn't, he fell over in the mud at playtime
so didn't have his jumper or cords on at home time

it's a long walk home with my little magpie
on Inorganic rubbish week
who can't understand
'why would they throw that away'
and has to be disuaded from bringing it all home
