On Sunday Miss Isabella and I went vintage shopping for her school Ball. She is wearing my 7th form Ball Dress...in case you are doing the calculations and worry she will be in some 80's taffeta monstrosity...don't worry I was one of only 2/100 girls in my 7th form year who ignored the 80's fluro and Frankie Goes to Hollywood tees to wear vintage and Doc Martens so the Ball Dress is a 1950s vintage dress which I luckily kept.
We were looking for shoes, gloves and stockings and this is what we wore

BoY MONdAY

It was a very quiet Monday for the smallest boy and myself as he is a little under the weather and had us up a few times the night before

He spent most of the time from waking up crying and was only really cheered up by going to get a fluffy after school drop off and a wee library visit...until recently his favourite books to read have been our collection of little Hairy Maclary and Charlie and Lola board books which although they make for a quick read don't really have a full story, but in the last few weeks he has decided big story books are far more fun so we spent 40 mins in the nice warm library reading books off the shelf.
He fell asleep on the way home and only woke up in time to go meet Mama for lunch in the sun at the Rose Gardens


where he got to share his Sushi


with some small feathered friends


we took a stroll down to the little beach

but as you might be able to tell from his wee face he wasn't his usual run around ball of energy


but something did put a smile on his face

a little train spotting

it was a quiet afternoon at home

and some playing with Billy, they have just got to the stage where they are playing imaginary games together rather than Arlo just joining whatever Billy is playing. They were sorting out money to go shopping for their camping trip with their baby who is out of shot all tucked up in a little bed they made him.

Lunch With Gran

Thursday was parent teacher interviews so the small people finished school at 1pm which meant we got to take Gran out to our favourite Cafe for lunch





and Arlo got to introduce her to the lovely Peter who owns the cafe and is also our lovely neighbour


We also had our proud Mother smiles on after the interviews

Dress- vintage from Trade Me- finding vintage dresses in Harriet's size is not easy as most Op shops don't have anything past preschool sizes and even Etsy and Ebay have very few so I was very happy to find a vintage girls Sz 11 while browsing Trade me
