lots of pictures from our trip to Pawarenga

to see Nana and Papa

 

we started with some belated Xmas & Birthday presents

 

 

out to feed the chickens

 

some  gardening

 and a visit to feed some Eels further down the river

 checking for eggs and checking out the calves with Papa

Arlo found a fishing line with hooks and sinker

hanging off the bridge which Papa helped him bait

afternoon river swimming

Arlo's first time trying the rope swing

and uncle Hamish and the cousins came over for dinner

and a cake for Arlo

after dinner hide n seek

and helping Nana water the garden

the next morning we went up the road to ride Dansie

this is the lovely horse we rode 2 years ago

 

Otis was pretty excited with his first horse ride

 

and a shed full of tractors to play on

and an abandoned digger on the way home

 

that baited hook resulted in an eel the next morning

Friday we headed over to beautiful Matai bay

and back to Ahipara for Fish n Chips

and a sunset run on the beach

 

Saturday we were invited back to ride Dansie 

and this time we went for a trek up the valley

which Papa smoked

 

which were delicious

thanks for  a lovely holiday
