the girls and kahi went to their friend Thomas's 5th birthday today which had a Harry Potter theme. Harriet was Hermione, Kahi Harry and Isabella Luna Lovegood complete with butterbeer cork necklace, her wand tucked behind her ear and a copy of the Quibbler. Harriet looked so cute in her little outfit Ang suggested we send her to a private school just so she could look this cute in a uniform every morning. Post party on a sugar high there was alot of spell sending going on between Harriet and Kahis' wands in the back of the car.

bugs
there have been bugs at our house this week. Harriet has been a sick little pukeko, woke up with a tummy bug in the early hours of mon morning and was quite sick for a few days. All she wanted to do was lie in my arms for all of monday and tues so I saw alot of daytime TV. Was actually quite nice to have her all snuggled up for hours. She has completely gone off her food which for anyone who knows her, is a big thing...this girl loves to eat. Since monday she has eaten a bite of toast, a few chips, two spoonfuls of rice, a madarin or two and a little coleslaw tonight. The girl feels lighter to hold and we can see ribs on her. Hopefully her appetite will come back over the weekend. Ang has had some kind of nasty cold bug which makes her sound like she is drowning in fluids....as you might imagine sleep has not been what it could have been in our house this week. So far aside from feeling ill from her 3rd meng. B shot today Ella is doing fine and I still have pregnancy nausea so probably wouldn't notice the difference.
Tomorrow night the girls are going to sleep at Kahi and Sols while we go to dinner. Both Kahi and Harriet have been counting down the days and Kahi has plans for Harriet to sleep in his bed...sarah and I have bets on this lasting no more than 5 mins before it all ends in tears.
The grans are back from a hol in the south island tomorrow so we are looking forward to catching up on sunday. There has been much excitement to find postcards addressed to all the small ones in the letterboxes this last week.

A Day at the Park
The girls and Ang headed to the park today to meet up with friends. This is one of Harriets favourite places because it is full of pukekoes and has a big playground. Some pics from the outing below.
