First day of the school hols

our plan for the first day of the hols was a morning visit to the farm and a picnic lunch, unfortunately a large rain storm meant we had to have our lovely (thanks Elizabeth) picnic lunch indoors but by 1pm the rain had stopped enough for a farm adventure

after checking out some animals we headed through the paddocks to the lava flow

and some exploring of the inner harbour shore

looking for crabs

and finding a wee spot for a fortifying biscuit

before some pond exploring

and some chair sitting

some bridge building

and a photo opportunity before finishing our picnic lunch for afternoon tea

before heading home the small people got to feed some very hungry baby lambs

There was some sadness Sunday morning as Isabella set off to the airport for 10 days in Australia, we are missing her already

Luckily there were parties to distract small people.
Harriet picked the fabrics for this wee tote bag for her friend's birthday which we filled with some stationary

and another wee messenger bag was made for Billy and Arlo's wee friend out of the remains from Harriet's schoolbag

with a wee felt and vintage button owl

and thrifted pillowcase lining

the birthday girl was very pleased

Hip Hop

Following all their big shows earlier in the year Bollywood has been on a bit of a break this term so we enrolled Harriet in a Hip Hop class which is something she has always wanted to try. Today was their show and her class did Mich.ael J.ackson's BAD. Some pics of Miss harriet in her costume, Friday saw us doing a quick trip to the oppy for some $1 bling belts to complete the look
