The Blog Name will need to change...

to 'life in our busy household with two gorgeous girls and TWO delicious small boys'.
Another small boy will be joining our household sometime in mid january. All looked good on his and Ang's 19 week scan although the sonographer didn't manage to get any good pics for me to post. We have another scan in 5 weeks so hopefully will get a good picture then...now to trying to find another boys name.

The boy likes...

his pirate pants, the first night he just carried them round everywhere and the next day he was very pleased to wear them.

Some cute cafe pics of the boy having his 'coffee'.

Craftwerk

we finally got to check out craftwerk on thursday night. There was so much Isabella, Ang and I loved. After coveting things on Anenome's blog and Etsy shop we got to take home some ourselves.
Isabella picked these cards and envelopes which are adorning her wall and "are not going to be sent to anyone"

Harriet got this paper doll, I thought she might pick the one that looked like her, but no "I want the one that looks like Ella"

From Cheek Pinchy I got this great picture. ( you can find more cheek pinchy stuff here)

Pirate Craft

Finally the two smalls were well enough for school so I had a day to myself and the chance to do some sewing I have been wanting to do. Billy is a little pirate happy at the moment, if you ask him if he's been a good boy he says 'no I'm a pirate boy'. I had found some pirate bandannas but figured he wouldn't keep them on so turned them into pirate pants today, they are even fully lined which is pretty good considering my sewing skills originate from 3rd form sewing at westlake girls. To use up the scraps I made him a pirate sunhat with some gingham I had.

For the first time in weeks the sky looked like this in the garden at 1.30pm today

were the smalls having a lovely time playing outside? sadly no, they looked like this a nasty virus has struck with high temps, wicked coughing and much sadness and clingon behaviour by small hot people. Harriet has been sick for 5 days and Billy 2 A visit to the dr confirmed it was a virus and resulted in the family sized bottles of i.buprofen and p.aracetamol in order to stop the smalls becoming small melted puddles of hotness a self portrait of a sick girl

Harriet is back in the House

her evil twin or whatever gremlin seemed to possess her for the first week of term has left the building...not without some fairly firm encouragement from us in terms of re establishing how the term routine worked and what behaviour was required from a 6yr old girl. A small bribe for good behaviour was also offered.
May I present harriet, breakfasted, lunch packed, hair tied back and dressed without drama (yes it was her day to pick the outfit)..all before 8.30am

To answer my own query..

are they watching too many DVDs, Billy who is sitting beside me building with the blocks just informed me he is building the leaning tower of p.isa. Maybe too much little e.insteins

Big Congrats to

Heidi, Matt and Bella on the arrival of Zoe Elizabeth

Wet Weather

3 storms in 1 week x 2 small children =
1. cabin fever
2. a swampy back yard fit for an ogre but not so good for aforementioned cabin feverish children
3. 2 children who have probably watched far too many DVDs
4. a mother who is fast running out of fun rainy day activities

things we have tried include
baking

dress ups

DVDs and dress ups

walks in the brief patches of clear weather...usually it has poured down before we reach home

coffee(me) and fluffies(smalls) to help deal with the cabin fever

all the duplo

and all of Isabella's b.arbie and k.elly collection

Malibu k.en from the op shop settling in nicely
