Hospital Visit

Harriet had her tonsils and adenoids out on friday, we were lucky that starship contracted out to a private hospital so we had a consultant ENT surgeon and anaesthetist, always a good thing when one of your mothers wouldn't really be happy with a registrar doing either job. She did really well and was the only child that afternoon who didn't scream the place down coming out of her anaesthetic, she just snuggled up with us. Saturday morning she was a little manic, probably a combination of the GA, an all sugar intake as she had only had jelly, ice cream and lemonade iceblocks and waking every four hours so she could have pamol. We were a little jaded too having had her sleep with us and waking four hourly to administer the pamol. I guess with Harriet it was silly to assume she would just have lain round quietly recovering after surgery. Today she has been a little sorer and more subdued.
The pics are of her hospital PJs, we told her she could pick any pair to buy for her hospital trip..so of course she picked the most lurid pink Tinkerbell ones complete with a fairy skirt which she did indeed wear into surgery.

Billy is ...

21 months old now and much to close to being a two year old for my liking. He has had a very social few weeks with all his sisters performances. He is showing some typical toddler behaviours and can drop his bottom lip than fall to the floor in a tantrum worthy of an oscar but when all his family step over him and walk away it doesn't last long. His great loves are still books and Dora but he has also become keen on little cars and trains which he likes to line up in just the right order. I would like to say his 3 parents are his favourite people but there are two people who he does a special little happy dance/jig for whenever he sees them..his 'lella'(Isabella for those of you who don't speak toddlerease) and his gran. He remains a little obsessed with accesorising and does not consider himself dressed till he has shoes on, he asks me to open his cupboard door than looks down with adoration and says 'oh...shoes' than proceeds to carefully choose the pair he wants to wear. He still says 'oh oh, need hat' when I go to get him out of his carseat. He pretty much speaks in sentences but we only understand a word or two of them but usually the meaning is fairly clear. He does have some whole ones though,
'for me, Billy'
'more milk mama'
'I neeeeed lella'
'put dora and boots on'
he can also recite word for word quite a few of his books especially maisy and hairy maclary ones.
He is a very cuddly boy and gets your face between his hands and turns it towards him so he can kiss you.

High School Musical

Isabella was brilliant in her role as Miss Darbus, I have some video which will give you the full effect of her teachers voice and mannerisms, also some after the show pics. We were all so proud of her and it was a great production overall, very professional. Even her headmaster who has never really spoken to me in the almost 2 years she has been at the school came up to tell us how impressive her performance was. Harriet too was very pleased to win a basketball at intermission for having a specially marked flag given out at the door.
