some wool blankets at one of my favourite old school, run by little old ladies, stuff piled everywhere op shops which I haven't been to for months. It is next to the hall where Billy used to do Fairy Dance but as he finished at the end of last year it had been awhile. The ladies apologised for the price, 'but they were nice blankets and it was winter'- expecting the >$20 they are most places I was quite happy to pay $3 for a single and $5 for a double.
I'm planning on making over our lounge cushions.

Biscuit Bear BoY MonDaY

Today was the first Boy Monday where Arlo really expressed what he wanted to do.
He has been enjoying the book Biscuit Bear ( which is already well worn from being a Billy favourite) and asked to make bears so we talked about it last night and the bigger two were keen to ice them too.
When I saw Arlo this morning after night duty the first thing he said was
"make biscuit bear Mummy"
So we did

Arlo is great at baking and likes to tip in everything and do all the stirring, I initially handed him a metal spoon but he said "no" and went and got a wooden one like the book showing me the picture.



He cut out all the bear shapes

While they were cooking we did some garden exploring and he found his rake

which he decided needed to come on our walk to get decorations for the biscuit bears

it seems a small boy can have a lot of fun with a rake on a walk - it's good for riding like a pony

some neighbourhood leaf raking


so you can jump in them

you can drag it along making a great noise


and it fits perfectly in the gutter

he walked all the way along the bike path and up over the bridge

but was getting a little tired
5 mins after this he was asleep in the pushchair and stayed that way till school pick up

he was very proud to show Harriet and Billy all the biscuits

and they all spent along time decorating them, referring to the book for ideas







Arlo spent ages placing his decorations just so



luckily we didn,t have a dog called Bongo to destroy our biscuits


although the table did look a little similar

next up the small people want to recreate this winter scene from the book
