Little Vintage Outfit

 my latest pattern test was for a wee vintage styled outfit

the shirt can have a smocked,embroidered or colour blocked insert

or be left plain

for this one I used a piece of vintage smocking

from an old pillowcase which was too worn to use 

 the shirt and shorts are thrifted villa

I also made a wee plain shirt as well

 the pattern came together beautifully

it was the first time I've done piping on a collar

Happy 14th Birthday Harriet

 our lovely Harriet turned 14 yesterday

and was very pleased her birthday fell on a holiday

Otis helped her open presents

(the older 2 were in Northland)

and we skyped Ella in too

we took her out to brunch

 

then her request some mall shopping

she spent the afternoon with her friend Molly 

these two met when Harriet was 2 weeks old

and than a birthday dinner out with Molly 

but I was only allowed a pic of Otis

Boy Monday - Park Visit

a little late posting these pictures from Mondays adventure

after the school run we headed over to the shore

and checked out the Milford beach playground

but the play equipment wasn't nearly as exciting

as what you can see in the background

Concrete Mixers pouring a new path

we watched for long enough to see 3 different trucks

before a quick run back across the playground

and off to check out the boats

some tree climbing

 and the sea walls

a wee stop at a favourite Oppy yielded a Fireman Sam puzzle

which he sat on their lawn and did quite a few times

back to K rd for sushi and a fluffy

before school pick up again

Orua Weekend

 

a visit to Aunty Margaret before heading down to Orua 

we went away with yummy home grown grapes

 

a stop at the Waiuku car boot sale
