Happy Birthday Harriet

Our lovely girl turned 10yrs yesterday,
her big present from us was a trip to Queenstown all by herself last weekend to stay with her best friend Ruby, who sadly for Harriet moved down there last Dec. She had great fun going on the plane on her own and hanging out doing touristy things with Ruby and her whanau.
The photo below of snow on the mountain in the early morning is the best photo I have from her trip...I think I need to give her some photography lessons so Mummy can blog pics from when she is away
her birthday morning started with some family presents

then she headed to school with homebaking by Mama for her whole class

Her choice for her birthday dinner was Thai on Ponsonby Rd.

We still have more celebrating to do tonight with her Nani Ji, a sleepover on Saturday night, her friend's party on Sunday and a family dinner on Sunday night.
Happy Birthday gorgeous Harriet Priya Gabrielle, welcome to double digits, I have a feeling the next 10 yrs are going to be a crazy ride for all of us xxxx

boy MonDaY

It was a bit of a Jekyl & Hyde day for the small boy on Monday
We started off with a lovely morning, being a creature of habit he wanted Coffee at Alleluya first so we took a slow walk there stopping when Arlo found 'funny little things' as he called this bit of Graffiti by school

a mirror box in the Gallery window
little embroidered emblems
even one with a Unicorn

his 'coffee'
and a few more 'funny little things'

and some fun with a Toi Toi

after that he fell asleep in my arms which is pretty unheard of these days
sadly he woke up 90 mins later without his nice and proceeded to tantrum for the next 4 hrs including screaming kicking hissy fits in the school playground
the note below probably sums up how the afternoon went

admittedly the tooth was very wobbly but Billy wasn't quite expecting Arlo to jump on him in a pesky fashion
Luckily he found his nice again by dinner time.
