Monday Autumn Adventures

Monday being Billy's day to pick the adventure we started with a milkshake (and coffee for me) from a favourite little coffee bar close to Harriet's school

then headed to the library, I love our library building, it's a lovely 1920's brick building
Billy's favourite bit is the clock tower

after acquiring some books and doing some reading at home...did you know snakes have a special egg tooth.....we headed to 'a park with animals' as requested

it also has a great train station building

and a ride on train

there was some leaf throwing

and a picnic lunch packed for us by Billy
Arlo likes his Mandarins whole, if you dare to break it into segments this makes it unedible apparently

and back for some more turns on the train

before driving round the mountain to the ice cream shop

and finding those animals Billy was keen to see

then it was time to head home to meet Mama and pick up Harriet

Ang had text me earlier to say she thought the smalls needed some autumn leaf play so we headed to another park

made a huge pile of leaves

tossed alot around

and buried children in them

and some swinging before home time

following the ANZAC parade this morning we joined Pop Mak for a birthday brunch

today we remembered those in our family who fought in WW1 and WW2

Harriet joined her Brownie troop in an ANZAC day parade

and this afternoon she made ANZAC biscuits

Last Day of Colour Week- purple

Miss Harriet was already taking her purple pics when I arrived home from night duty this morning

a little car in the morning sun on the kitchen floor

flowers on our front wall as we headed out

her old scooter on the backdeck

her wind flower in the garden

Mr Billy was lining up his shots too

he found this burst balloon on the floor of the car and set it up on the pavement to get the shot

picked this flower with a purple middle

and lastly this evening as I was unpacking the groceries spotted the baking paper box and took a last pic

Arlo asleep under the crochet blanket we got at Harriet's school fair

Both small people wanted to know what colour we were doing tomorrow and were most put out to hear that the project was finished. Ang thinks we should make tomorrow pink day anyway.
