Over the Week

On Wednesday our lovely Harriet started High School

Ella walked her to school and accompanied her to her Powhiri

Ella & Ariel also took the boys to the Zoo

this morning we headed out to do some Strawberry picking

although late in the season there were still lots of big berries

this small boy couldn't quite believe

he could pick and eat big berries from the plants

it took a bit of convincing for him to eat them

but he soon got the hang of it

an icecream afterwards

(much to my delight)

at his last check up

has some wee sentences like 

'there you go'

still trying to do everything his big brothers do

and will miss them when school starts again

very cheeky

and is finally sleeping in his own bed

in his own room

Summer Hol Part 3 - Pawarenga

 the last part of our holiday

was a visit to Nana & Papa in Pawarenga

 a look around their land

 before a birthday celebration afternoon tea

for Billy, Ella and Arlo

with Nana's famous passionfruit sponge

 a late afternoon river swim

 and home to feed the chickens

 Mac the farm dog

 after dinner there were xmas presents

 the next morning we visited some friends of Nana & Papa's

 to see their chickens

 and pick some plums

 more river swimming

 while I distracted Otis with more chickens

 and some late afternoon fishing

 the next morning was planning the extending of the chicken run

for the new chicks

 with Papa letting everyone help
